John Malkovich will get a SIBERIAN EDUCATION
Well, this is definitely interesting. The Hollywood Reporter relays that John Malkovich will star in the Russian gangster pic SIBERIAN EDUCATION.
The actor will play Kuzja, a member of a Siberian gangster family who teaches his grandson Kolyma lessons about criminal life; Kolyma will be played by newcomer Arnas Fedaravicius. SIBERIAN EDUCATION will derive from Nicolai Lilin’s popular memoir and will be directed by Gabriele Salvatores.
Malkovich starred in last year’s action comedy RED and had a small role in Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON, which hit theaters this past weekend. He’s an extraordinary actor with a penchant for comedy but also boasts a unique dramatic flair that should work perfectly for his role in SIBERIAN EDUCATION.
