As he patiently awaits finding a home for his upcoming film, OBLIVION, director Joseph Kosinski (TRON: LEGACY) has found himself a whole new project.

Variety is reporting that he will be helming a new film entitled ARCHANGEL, that is currently being re-written by THE GRAY MAN and MOSCOW writer Adam Cozad.

The film is an alien invasion thriller that will follow a group of soldiers who have to hunt down aliens living amongst us. Now, Universal is looking to nab up OBLIVION, and while this doesn’t look to have a home just yet, it does appear as though Kosinski is one hell of a hot commodity in Hollywood.

Personally, I really have no interest in this project. The premise sounds beyond silly, and while TRON: LEGACY may have been a respectable project, his addition to this film really does nothing for me. I’m excited to see what a visually-minded filmmaker could do with something like this, but Kosinski isn’t really that filmmaker, in my humble opinion.
