Judi Dench back for BOND 23
With Daniel Craig hopping back in the well dressed saddle that is the role of James Bond and Sam Mendes on board to helm the upcoming 23rd film in the Bond franchise, one of the recent staples of the franchise will also be returning.
Shocking no one, MI6 is reporting (via the Playlist) that Judi Dench is set to return to the role of M. She revealed to reporters at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards that “yes,” she’ll return, but did not reveal any more details about the upcoming November 9, 2012 release.
The film should start production later this year, and it looks like the band will indeed be getting back together for this project, which should prove to be quite an interesting addition to the Bond canon. Personally, I love Dench in general, but she is perfect in the role of M in this franchise, so it’s nice to see her return for this film.
