Apparently Joseph Gordon-Levitt has something major up his sleeve for his directorial debut.

Variety reports that Julianne Moore has joined the cast of the upcoming film, which is also penned by the actor.

The film will star Moore and Scarlett Johansson, with the former playing a mentor of sorts to the lead character, played by Gordon-Levitt.  It isn’t clear as to when this film will shoot in the greater scheme of things, but it does seem like it’s moving forward, and with big things ahead in its future.

Personally, it may be unclear as to just what type of filmmaker Gordon-Levitt will be, but he has worked with some fantastic directors, and the idea of him taking on a story of a modern day Don Juan is really intriguing.  I love this cast, and with them involved, this could be one hell of a great little film.
