KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR hitting in March?
Within the world of film, there are very few films that could truly be described as the medium’s Holy Grail.
One of those films that fits that bill, in more than a few ways, happens to be the massively hyped, and much talked about full edit of Quentin Tarantino’s KILL BILL films, KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR.
Despite saying that it did actually exist by the filmmaker himself, who seems to be physically unable to stop talking about the film, cinephiles around the world honestly had doubts that the project even existed. The full director’s cut of both KILL BILL VOL. 1 & 2 within one film, THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR has yet to play theatrically stateside, much to the sadness of many film fans.
That is, until now.
AICN has uncovered a schedule for the New Beverly theater, that says the film will be playing in March, in a month of films programmed by the director himself, who also happens to be the man behind the theater.
The film is best described as the original film that Tarantino had hoped to release, featuring more anime, more blood, and more action. I know, I’m getting ready to line up outside the theater doors for this thing too.
With a DVD/Blu-ray release undoubtedly close, one can only hope that this one week run won’t be the only chance we get to see the film. The KILL BILL films may be some of Tarantino’s best, and when dealing with a director like Tarantino, that’s saying quite a bit.
The film stars running on March 27.
