What to Expect When You're Expecting

Every time I think Hollywood is out of terrible ideas for movies, they throw a curveball directly at my man parts.

The director of NANNY MCPHEE and EVERYBODY'S FINE makes his triumphant return to the big screen with an adaptation of the now-famous pregnancy guide first published in 1984. The film version was written by Heather Hach (best known as the screenwriter of 2003's FREAKY FRIDAY) with a rewrite courtesy of Shauna Cross (writer of WHIP IT!). The film is planned to be a LOVE ACTUALLY-style romance following five couples as they prepare for parenthood.

Now that self-help books are fair game for film adaptations, what's next? A film adaptated from an instruction manual? Or maybe an adaptation of a Rogaine label?

Let's just hope for the best for WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN EXPECTING. And by "best," I mean that it bests ZYZZYX ROAD's record for the lowest box office gross of all time.
