It’s not THE FALL, but it’s definitely not MARMADUKE.

According to EW (via a rumor started by E! Online), actor Lee Pace is in talks to play Garrett, a nomadic vampire and friend to Edward Cullen, in the upcoming capper to the TWILIGHT franchise, BREAKING DAWN. Check out the full story after the break.

Pace is best known for his lead role on the short-lived, but utterly awesome television series, Pushing Daisies. This may not be as awesome as films like THE FALL or A SINGLE MAN, two of Pace’s latest on screen performances. But with Bill Condon at the helm, this is shaping up to be a rather respectable finale to a series that, while being of lower quality, has for all intents and purposes been on the up and up quality wise. Take the rather top notch filmmaker that Condon is (save for DREAMGIRLS), and you have the makings for a film that may not drive me to thoughts of suicide.

Yeah, probably not. I can hope though.
