LEGO movie to be written and directed by CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS team
This is some great news to see. I grew up with the big blue bucket or legos, and when I would get home from school go into my closet and poor the big bucket on the floor and play for hours on end. I was in my world of blocks, and yellow people. But enough about my childhood imagination, lets talk cinema!
Cinema blend has reported that the head honchos at Warner Bros. have decided to move on this plastic adventure with the same duo of CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS which was definitely a sleeper hit of sort. We all wanted to see it, and some were skeptical, but I know I didn't realize exactly how funny it was going to be. I laughed out loud multiple times which is rare. Who didn't love Neil Patrick Harris as the "genius" monkey namedSsteve who has a modified speak and spell type device on him, and James Caan as the father? All I'm saying is the team of Phil Lord and Chris Miller definitely has alot of comedic potential as well as great story telling.
I think there is so much that can be done in a LEGO film, and from the look of things they are on to something, not only did they have to convince the Warner Bros. executives but the Lego company as well, and its a go! Word is it will be a live action, animation mix. Most, if not all, details are being kept secret as of now. But I say they have a good demographic in me!
