Lego PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME
Relevant? Probably not. Super badass? You better believe it. The marketing campaign for THE PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME is heating up and Lego is getting in on the action! We have already seen Lego take on many famous film franchises in the past (HARRY POTTER, STAR WARS, BATMAN, INDIANA JONES, and TOY STORY). Now Lego is taking all your favorite Persian heroes and villains and immortalizing them in shiny plastic. Jake Gyllenhaal's stubble looks even better on a two inch version of himself! The Lego series of video games have been incredibly more fun they they needed to be and Lego PRINCE OF PERSIA: The Game should be no exception. I would say that my infatuation with all things Lego is purely nostalgic but that would be a lie since I still buy Legos to this day. And as I have aged, Lego has done a great job of combining my two favorite things, toys and movies! You can bet that I will be first in line to buy a freshly boxed Lego PRINCE OF PERSIA set...possibly in some sort of shameful veiled disguise.
What are your thoughts? Does Lego PRINCE OF PERSIA look to be in tune with other Lego movie adaptations or is this a misstep? What other films do you believe deserve the Lego treatment?
