Lindsay Lohan

I’m not one to really dig rumors all that much, but if this has at least a tiny bit of a chance of actually happening, it could be quite interesting.

In chatting with EW, photographer Tyler Shields let it slip that actress and courthouse connoisseur Lindsay Lohan is currently in talks to play the role of Sharon Tate in the upcoming film, EYES OF A DREAMER. The now infamous Golden Globe winner was a victim of the Manson family and its leader, Charles Manson, who this film will in turn look at.  Tate (VALLEY OF THE DOLLS) was wife to Roman Polanski at the time, and was brutally murdered by the family and their leader, in what has become one of the more famous murders in the history of Hollywood.

Now, at this point, even the photographer himself seems to think that this may ultimately not happen (saying that it depends on the final outcome of her still-pending court battle), which if it ultimately goes to trial, will take her out of commission, as the film plans on starting production come mid-July.

Personally, I’ve always been a fan of Lohan, and a defender of hers, as I think she has much more talent than she has become known for having.  Something like PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION shows that she’s much more than just a young woman with a penchant for illegal vices.  I hope this ultimately comes true, as I think it would be one hell of a role for the actress to take on.

What do you think?
