Louis Leterrier directing NOW YOU SEE ME
Louis Leterrier (CLASH OF THE TITANS) is set to direct a new film called NOW YOU SEE ME for Summit Entertainment, according to The Playlist. We first told you about this film in June of last year. The film is a crime thriller that pits a crack FBI squad in a game of cat-and-mouse against a super-team of the world’s greatest illusionists, who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audiences while staying one step ahead of the law.
Bank heist films have been done time and time again, but to me they never get boring. Throwing illusionists and magicians into the mix sounds like a pretty sweet concept! Leterrier was not able to pull off an epic film like TITANS, but this sounds like the perfect film for his sensibilities. He was on the list of directors to helm James Cameron’s FANTASTIC VOYAGE remake but lost out to Shawn Levy.
The film is being written by Boaz Yakin (PRINCE OF PERSIA: SANDS OF TIME) and Edward Rocourt. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing.
