Lucas Till and Nicholas Hoult have just been added to the cast of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, joining James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Alice Eve.

Till was recently seen in the horror flick LAID TO REST and is also in the upcoming action epic BATTLE: LOS ANGELES. Some tweeners might also recognize him from some beach pics a couple years ago with then-girlfriend Miley Cyrus. The young actor has been cast as Havok, a member of the X-Men, with the ability to manipulate energy and use it against his enemies.

Nicholas Hoult from ABOUT A BOY has also been cast as Beast, who was originally played by Kelsey Grammer in X-MEN: THE LAST STAND. Beast is one of the most popular characters from the comic and, in his first film appearance in 2006, director Brett Ratner focused more on his superior intellect instead of his prowess. Hopefully, Matthew Vaughn (KICK-ASS) plans to use the character in a completely different way, because we all want to see him kick some ass!

In a peculiar move, Fox has announced that they have been embarking on a misinformation campaign to intentionally mislead fans (and reporters). This has led to some false rumors (such as Aaron Johnson playing Cyclops) and speculation as to whether or not the actors already cast will really be portraying the mutants they've been attached to in the press.

In one way, this makes me want to never type another word about who may or might not be cast in the new film. What's the point? We at least want to be right when we report news to you guys, if not slightly entertaining, too. On the other hand, I like when studios think out of the box, and with the endless dance of rumors and press releases surrounding high profile films like this, it's nice to see that someone behind the scenes is having fun keeping people guessing.

Also agree with #1. Every single time First Blood is on TV I watch it (which has been happening a lot on AMC). Just a damn good movie. Really original protagonist and some really good antagonists too.
