Following questions as to whether or not A-lister Liam Neeson would be able to return for the film, ultimately ending with him able to head back to work on this project, one of his fellow TAKEN co-stars will also be returning for the upcoming sequel.

Deadline is reporting that Maggie Grace, who played the kidnapped daughter in the beloved first film, will be returning for TAKEN 2.

The story also confirms that TRANSPORTER 3 director Olivier Megaton will be helming this upcoming film, with late 2011/early 2012 being eyed as a start date. And that, my friends, is literally all we know about the film at this point.

Personally, this is a weird bit of news. As a whole, I don’t mind hearing that the character and actress will be returning, but it does give me worry that the film may ultimately resort to the daughter being kidnapped again. I don’t completely think that the creative team behind the film will be that stupid when handling this project, but it could become quite an issue.
