Mark Ruffalo says THE AVENGERS isn't shooting in 3D

Even though that he’s only been behind two feature films, CAPOTE and MONEYBALL, director Bennett Miller has become one of the film world’s most interesting filmmakers. And it only sounds like his career will be getting more intriguing with his next film.

Variety reports that Mark Ruffalo has joined the cast of his upcoming film, FOXCATCHER.  Penned by the pair of E. Max Frye and Dan Futterman, the film follows a man who is a millionaire wrestling gym owner and schizophrenic who killed the Olympic wrestler David Schultz. The true story focuses on the life of John du Pont, who will be played by Steve Carell.

At this point, this project just sounds too damn good.  The trio of Carell, Ruffalo and Miller is one to be reckoned with, and with such a great premise, this could be one hell of a film.  Hopes are high and with this collection of cast and crew, such expectations shouldn’t be impossible to live up to.
