Personally, you could say a grilled cheese sandwich was set to star in Harmony Korine’s next film, and I’d be excited (and honestly, not as shocked as I am about what I’m about to say).

However, when you say that Marlon Wayans is set to take on a role in the indie darling’s next film, you definitely have my attention.

That’s exactly what Pajiba is reporting today, as their Hollywood Cog is saying that Wayans will star in Korine’s next film, TWINKLE TWINKLE, which follows a former hitman who dresses up in a dollar bill costume. Best. Premise. Ever.

Personally, while I may not be the biggest Marlon Wayans fan on the planet, it’s hard to say the actor is talent-free, particularly having just watched REQUIEM FOR A DREAM recently. When pushed, he’s obviously a talented thespian, and there may not be a more interesting filmmaker on this planet than Korine, whose film TRASH HUMPERS is still this writer’s favorite of the year.

The premise sounds utterly amazing, so while it may seem a bit odd at face value, this could prove to be one hell of a film. I would assume this would be more MISTER LONELY than TRASH HUMPERS or ACT DA FOOL, which is definitely an intriguing concept
