MARMADUKE gets a theatrical trailer

The first full-length trailer for MARMADUKE is here and it looks… awful. I hate to admit it, but I actually really like the teaser that came out in December (mostly because anything that reminds me of “The O.C.” is good in my book) but this one is just not working for me.

What bugs me the most is the acting. Lee Pace and Judy Greer are both hilarious, wonderful actors but in the trailer it almost sounds like they’re trying to be funny and their performances comes across a bit robotic. Also, the computer-animated animal mouths kinda suck. This is a movie for kids, so they probably won’t care too much. I do hope, though, that there are more scenes with the dog fluent in gopher. That actually made me laugh.
