Max Minghella and more added to THE SOCIAL NETWORK
Max Minghella (ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL), along with Armie Hammer (GOSSIP GIRL), and a few other young actors have joined the cast of David Fincher's THE SOCIAL NETWORK, a film about the rise of Facebook and its legal troubles along the way.
The new editions join an already notable cast, including Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg, who will play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. It is unknown at this time what role Minghella will play. Hammer will play not one person, but two in the film, portraying the Winklevoss twins. The twins created another social network site called ConnectU, and enlisted Zuckerberg to work on it in November of 2003. Shadiness ensued as Zuckerberg soon created his own social networking site and launched it on February 4, 2004. That site of course being Facebook.
Here's the statement, straight from screenwriter Aaron Sorkin's own Facebook page:
"Rehearsals began yesterday for The Social Network. The ensemble cast includes Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Max Minghella, Rooney Mara, Dakota Johnson, Brenda Song, Armie Hammer, Josh Pence and about 20 others to come. Shooting begins Oct. 19th in Cambridge, MA."
20 others? Now they are just collecting actors to make themselves feel good about their movie...just as I do with friends on Facebook to make myself feel good about my life.
