Melissa Leo and Jesse Eisenberg teaming up for PREDISPOSED

Those who share Oscar nominations in a year together, apparently make films together.

That’s exactly the case according to Vulture, as the outlet is reporting that Oscar winner Melissa Leo is teaming fellow 2011 Oscar nominee Jesse Eisenberg for a new indie comedy, PREDISPOSED.

Co-written by the duo of Philip Dorling and Ron Nyswaner (PHILADELPHIA, THE PAINTED VEIL), the film is a feature length adaptation of the duo’s short film of the same name and follows a drug-addled mother and her son during one day where the mother enters rehab and the son interviews for a shot at Juliard. Tracy Morgan is also attached and will play the mother’s dealer, Sprinkles.

Personally, I think this news is actually really interesting. The two are beyond opposites in person, I mean, just look at their times on air during Sunday’s Academy Awards. Leo is a spitfire, and Eisenberg is, well, Jesse Eisenberg. They fit these roles so damn well, that I really can’t wait to see this thing. The premise sounds interesting, and with a cast like this, you really can’t go wrong.
