TRANSFORMERS 3

Apparently the master of explosions and the master of shirtless tween vampire/werewolf romances are set to join forces for a brand new film.

Deadline has revealed that director Michael Bay and actor Taylor Lautner have sent out a script to studios that is drawing comparisons to films like MR. AND MRS. SMITH and WANTED.

The actor is slowly becoming something of a go-to action star, with both ABDUCTION and INCARCERON set to hit theaters in 2011 and 2012, respectively, and there really isn’t much of a bigger name in the world of action films than the king of the genre, Michael Bay.

At this point, that’s all the detail we have on this project, but don’t expect this one to stay on the down low too much longer.  This is a lot of A-list talent for a studio to look at so from a financial standpoint, this won’t stay alone for far too long.  That said, it sounds almost unbearable. Of the TWILIGHT crew, Lautner is easily the weakest actor, and Bay hasn’t been truly worthwhile since ARMAGEDDON, if even that for some people.
