Michael Sheen has role in TRON LEGACY
In other related TRON news, it would seem that Disney has confirmed, via Twitter, that actor Michael Sheen (FROST/NIXON, UNDERWORLD) will have a role in TRON LEGACY.
Here's what @DisneyPictures had to say:
"Yes, Michael Sheen will have a role in Tron Legacy!"
Well, alright then! The role is unknown at this time, but it will likely involve Sheen's character sitting across from Flynn, while in a virtual 3-D world, engaging in a really boring interview, climaxing with Flynn gruffly declaring "I'm saying that when Master Commander does it, that means it's not illegal."
As a side note, Disney has officially changed the name of TRON from TRON LEGACY to FLYNN/PIXELON.
In reality, assertions are flying all over the Internet that Sheen may in fact be playing the film's villain, perhaps even a computer-generated villain (or virus) created to kill Flynn. He'd be a good one at that. Maybe not as good as Fisher Stevens as "The Plague" though.
