Awww, look at that. Our sweet little Samantha Baker/Andie Walsh/Claire Standish is all grown up. Molly Ringwald is one of a kind. She has been giving red heads across America hope ever since she starred in Sixteen Candles in 1984. Today she hit a mile stone. Clearly from the Post's headline, you know she turned 40. Most people consider that "over-the-hill," but in my eyes, it's only the beginning.

Here are some photos I found from her big screen debut in '84 to now. Enjoy and tell your mother happy late Valentine's Day if you forgot.

weird how sometimes you have dreams about people that you would never expect to have. mine were both in sequence with a really good movie. freaky because you were just a known actress to me until I woke up a couple weeks ago. you don’t have to worry I am not a phscho and will not harrass you. you have a beautiful photograph. I don’t know if its the eyes or the face, or just you in general. I have never written a movie before so I am lost but the idea woke me up with the smell of money in my nose. weirdest thing ever. you are beautiful and I hope to talk to you in person about this sometime. I am having to leave this place a I am in and pursue my degree elsewhere. I didn’t want to have to leave but that is just what god wants for me the more I think about it. I am a city kid by nature but grew up on the outskirts of a city. I know enough about farm life from experience but the city kid always shows. you should know who I am. I mean you no harm and I am not crazy. well not in the drooling phycotic type of way. haha. keep that smile girl. its time you came back. the idea was a total chick flick. i hope you can find me in the little city I am moving to this august I hope and pray. why I don’t know but its what I have to do. always
