Mondo debuts Shepard Fairey THEY LIVE print

Tonight, Mondo Tees will debut a new print with an artist they haven’t worked with before. Shepard Fairey, famed street artist and creator of the iconic “OBEY” Andre the Giant image, and the “Hope” Barack Obama poster, has worked with Mondo and the Alamo Drafthouse to create an exclusive print for John Carpenter’s THEY LIVE.

How can you get one of these, you ask (before you even see the poster)? Well, you could only get one if you had already bought tickets to tonight’s screening, which is being held this one time only at the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar location. That sound you currently hear is the sound of you kicking yourself because you don’t live in Austin, Texas.

While these screenings are typically to showcase the artist and the new exclusive print, the wonderful folks over at the Alamo have managed to get John Carpenter himself to film an introduction and give a moment of reflection while then introducing the exclusive Shepard Fairey print. Check out the video below:

Now you may have noticed that the photo was blurred out, but luckily, we were able to get our hands on a preview of the print. Feast your eyes below:

If you like what you see, be sure to follow Mondo on Twitter to stay in the loop on future screenings like this one, because it truly is the only way to get your hands on one of these great prints.
