Jason Reitman's UP IN THE AIR premiered at this year's Telluride Film Festival, and according to our pal Peter over at /Film, it's really, really good. Would you expect anything less from a man who's first two films got nominated for a Golden Globe? I sure don't.

Jason and Paramount Pictures just premiered a sneak trailer for UP IN THE AIR over at /Film. What makes this so cool is that Reitman himself cut the trailer, and he made it just for the internet.

The teaser shows Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) giving a very beautifully heartbreaking speech (Robert McKee would be proud) during one of his motivational speaking gigs, and while he's giving the speech, it cuts to the characters that we'll be see in the film. Peter said it best by comparing his speech to one of Tyler Durden's lines in FIGHT CLUB - "Things you own end up owning you." This is going to sound very cliche, but I don't care - this trailer is very touching. If it doesn't move you in some way, you might wanna check your heart to make sure it's still beating. Check it out after the jump.

UP IN THE AIR is scheduled to open December 4th, 2009.

Paramount Pictures official synopsis: A corporate downsizing expert whose cherished life on the road is threatened just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and just after he’s met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.
