Chris Evans as CAPTAIN AMERICA

Cheeky, slightly off-puttingly patriotic tagline aside, the latest trailer for the upcoming Marvel film, CAPTAIN AMERICA, is one hell of a beauty.

Yahoo has the new spot, and it gives us a good look at some new footage, ranging from an encounter with Howard Stark, to a longer look at Red Skull, and overall, the vibe this film is giving off is one that should work really well.

Going into the film, director Joe Johnston was definitely the point of contention. Far from a hugely gifted director, Johnston appears to have fit this material like a red, white, and blue glove, because it appears to be one hell of a film. Chris Evans looks great as the titular character, and the scope of each respective set piece looks grand and well shot. Overall, while it’s still a wait and see, if Marvel can stick the landing here, they will be in a great position for their upcoming AVENGERS flick.

Check out the trailer after the break.
