New Drag Me to Hell production still
One of the hits of this year's SxSW (and a personal favorite of mine) was Sam Raimi's DRAG ME TO HELL, which returns the director to his horror roots a la EVIL DEAD. While I am sworn to secrecy on any of the film's details, I will say this...welcome back, Sam. I forgive you for SPIDER-MAN 3.
DRAG ME TO HELL tells the story of "a loan officer (Alison Lohman) ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, who turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point."
The film also stars Justin Long as Lohman's boyfriend and David Paymer as Lohman's boss. The film will be dragged into theaters May 29th, 2009.
