New international INCEPTION trailer gives us more footage, more Watanabe, and more badass
While most of the time international trailers aren’t anything to really talk about, as they are simply foreign language versions of the domestic trailers, Christopher Nolan’s INCEPTION is different. It’s not only a film that any cinephile worth his weight in film is looking forward to, but it’s also one that has done the unthinkable: It has been able to still keep a shroud of mystery over some of the story, leaving us studying every piece of promotional material sent out.
Today we now have a new international trailer for the hotly anticipated film, and while some of what is shown isn’t quite new, what we do get is our first real glimpse at the role played by Ken Watanabe. It also features a pretty good look at Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character, as well as Marion Cotillard’s character.
The trailer also gives us a good look at what appears to be the sure to be famous anti-gravity battle involving Levitt, and I must say, it looks absolutely stellar. I’m not one to keep up on the news coming out of this film, at least related to its plot, as I think it will be far more interesting to go into this as fresh as a film journalist can (which is about as fresh as four year old bread), but what I do know is that this thing looks absolutely fantastic. The action looks great, the performances seem top notch, and with a cast like this, you really cannot beat it.
Damn, July 16 really cannot get here fast enough.
