Now that everyone is calming down from their varied cases of Oscar-fever we can get back to the things that are really important in cinema; Superheroes. Last night, after the Academy Awards had turned off their lights, Jimmy Kimmel took to the stage on his late night talk show and premiered a new trailer for IRON MAN 2 with the help of special guest Robert Downey Jr. If you thought that the first trailer for the much-anticipated sequel was cool, prepare to be whipped in the face with sweet, sweet justice. Am I right, or am I right?! I have to admit, I was not a huge fan of IRON MAN when it was first release (mostly due to my undying love for all things DC Comics) but, IRON MAN 2 is hitting all my sweet spots as far as blockbusters go. IRON MAN 2 seems to contain more battles, more effects, more R.D.J snark, and looks to have upped the ante in just about every corner of what a superhero film should be. The best part of it all is this, these trailers are only scratching the surface. I was worried that the first trailer was showing too much footage from what I believed to be the third act of IRON MAN 2, now we arrive at the films second trailer and there appears to be loads more than I originally believed. John Favreau sure knows how to make a fanboys gush. The most interesting part of the entire trailer is the last 5 seconds, Silver Suit Iron Man, what else needs to be said here?
