Talk about a way to grab some headlines and some much-needed attention.

After playing the festival circuit to some mixed, but often quite positive, reviews, the latest film from DIE ANOTHER DAY director Lee Tamahori, THE DEVIL’S DOUBLE, has just gotten a brand new poster. And boy oh boy, is it a beauty.

AICN has the scoop on the new poster for the film, which stars Dominic Cooper as Uday Hussein, son of Saddam Hussein, and tells the story of Uday and his body double. The performance allegedly aided in Cooper nabbing a role in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, after he began receiving nearly unanimous praise for his turn as the psychotic son of the now infamous Iraqi leader. Check out the full poster after the break.

Personally, as a fan of Cooper as an actor, I can’t wait to see this film, and this poster absolutely aids in that anticipation. It is not only gorgeous, but it really seems to get at what the film’s narrative looks to discuss. The all-gold is eye-grabbing as all hell, so hopefully this turns some people on to a project that genuinely sounds like a winner.
