New live-action TMNT on the way!
I know I am not alone in disclaiming my utter disappointment in the latest TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES movie. It was nothing but a poor attempt to wrangle in little kids that have unfortunately never been introduced to the dudes in half shells. The movie completely skipped out on trying to appeal to the wide audience that wanted to see the TMNT back on the big screen in the first place. It needed more action, better comedy, and dare I say, a bit more grit. This is why I am ever so pleased to inform you all that TMNT will soon be given another chance at theaters.

The Mirage Group has officially announced that before long we will be graced with another live-action TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. Even better, "the new movie will be a BATMAN BEGINS-style reboot, showing the origins of the team of crime-fighting mutant turtles." Legendary Pictures is taking this project on with Peter Laird as Executive Producer. Laird promises fans that the film “will remain true to the spirit of the original comic books.” The film is being discussed with a possibility of a 2011 release.
