New Look: ONE DAY and JANE EYRE

Still photos from specific films may not superficially be all that interesting, but if it gives me an excuse to talk about a new Lone Scherfig film, then it’s more than worth the prose.

We have a new look (via The Playlist) at the AN EDUCATION director’s latest film, the romantic comedy ONE DAY, and I must say, it continues to look absolutely fantastic.

The film is based on the David Nicholls book of the same name, and with Nicholls on as the film’s co-writer, you can tell a lot of love went into this project. The story follows a couple, who we "check in with" on the same day for the two decades following their one-night stand in college. ONE DAY stars Jim Sturgess and Anne Hathaway, and looks to be a real winner. The premise seems truly great, and rife with interesting looks at love and relationships, and with a  cast and crew this talented, you bet your ass it’s going to be one of 2011’s most hotly-talked about projects. Check out another new still of the project after the jump, along with another new look at JANE EYRE.

In other Focus Features "new look" news, we also have a new photo from Cary Fukunaga’s upcoming take on JANE EYRE, but truly, it’s not much to write home about.  That said, it's still one of the more interesting films of the upcoming year, so check it out below.
