New photos from ON THE ROAD reveal something to truly look forward to
While it remains to be seen how good the performances from this hotly anticipated film will truly be, a set of newly released photos from the upcoming film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel, On The Road, look mighty amazing.
Debuted over at Comme au Cinema (via The Playlist), these photos look fantastic. Directed by Walter Salles, the film stars Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, and Sam Riley, and is penned by Salles’ MOTORCYCLE DIARIES scribe Jose Rivera. It follows the story of Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty (proxies for Keroauc and Neal Cassaday), as they go across North America in search for self discovery.
Co-starring Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Steve Buscemi, Elisabeth Moss, Terrence Howard, Alice Braga, and Danny Morgan, the film definitely has a great cast. Toss in the fact that Salles is reteaming with DP Eric Gautier and composer Gustavo Santaolalla, and you definitely have a film that is one to keep an eye on.
There isn’t a U.S. release date set yet, but with a French debut on December 7th, a 2011 release does seem likely.
