Nick Swardson Michael Pena 30 Minutes or Less

Ruben Fleischer has a lot of people's attention right now.  After coming off the success of ZOMBIELAND, then passing on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 4, and opting instead for a comedy about a pizza delivery guy who somehow gets involved in robbing a bank, the question is...how good is this comedy?

The writers, Matthew Sullivan and Michael Diliberti, are unknown to audiences at this point, with their only other listed writing credit being the upcoming L.A.P.I.which, like 30 MINUTES, will also feature Danny McBride.  Also, to add to the skepticism, the two have been undertaking a remake of BREWSTER'S MILLIONS, which is hallowed ground to many comedy fans, but they haven't just had these projects fall into their lap.  They created quite a buzz about a film called COMIC CON, despite its plot sounding a lot like the hard to beat FANBOYS, so who knows...maybe they're funny.

To support the idea that this movie will bring the laughter (if Fleischer, Ansari, and McBride weren't enough already) Nick Swardson (GRANDMA'S BOY, Reno 911)and Michael Pena (OBSERVE AND REPORT) have been added to the cast.  Swardson will play friend (and probably lackey) to McBride's thug character, while Pena will play an assassin with an ink affinity.  Together, the two should really round out the criminal characters, now if we could just find out who will be delivering the pizza!
