Official trailer for A-TEAM

I love it when a trailer comes together! Yesterday the leaked trailer for A-TEAM made its debut all over the Internet, but we refrained from posting because the quality was pretty awful and we knew it would only be a matter of time before the official version would pop up online. With that, here's the official version, which is available in HD. If you happen to catch DAYBREAKERS this weekend (you should), you can see the trailer in theaters.

After watching this, I'm on the fence. I give the casting an A but I'm not sold just yet. I do appreciate the flying tank scene at the end of the trailer. That's one thing I've noticed that's been missing from action movies lately. That and puppies. A-TEAM was directed by Joe Carnahan (SMOKIN' ACES) and stars Bradley Cooper (THE HANGOVER), Liam Neeson (TAKEN), Sharlto Copley (DISTRICT 9) and Quentin "Rampage" Jackson (that fighter guy) as Iraq war vets on a mission to clear their name with the U.S. military while blowing shit up. A-TEAM hits theaters June 11th, 2010!

Trailer's after the jump!

After seeing this trailer, I think I have a few ideas for what the “A” in A-Team stands for. Awesome? Amazing? (Bad) Ass?

Because I have a feeling that is what we are in store for with this movie.

This. Trailer. Was. Crazy! Love the narration. Love the old school theme. Love the perfect casting (Liam Neeson! Sharlto Copley!). Love the action.

There's a good chance that when someone says that it is over-the-top may have never seen the TV show…which may not have invented the phrase, but certainley redefined it.

I think my apprehension stems from the feeling I get when I listen to a cover of a song that is nearly identical to the original. If an artist goes to the effort of covering an already popular song and they don't really add anything original or any new spin, then what was the point of covering the song in the first place.

From the trailer, all the characters feel like such carbon copies of the original TV characters, it makes me wonder what makes this any better than the show. In other words, what makes this worth producing, let alone watching, if it's just the TV show, rehashed. I want to see something new, but still true to the ideal of the original material.
