Some films are like cinematic fish - they slip right through your fingers time and time again, festival after festival. DOWN TERRACE, I am coming for you. You escaped my grasp at this year's LAFF. That will not happen again before your theatrical release on October 8.

The festival favorite (it's won at both Fantastic Fest and Raindance) is a hilarious anecdote to the heavy crime thriller. Consider if ANIMAL KINGDOM was funny. And British. And had a cast that included thespians from "Spaced," "The Office," and "Extras." That's DOWN TERRACE. From director Ben Wheatley, the film follows Bill and Karl, the father-and-son duo heading up their crime family. After getting sprung from the big house, the two become set on finding out who sold them out to the fuzz. With a snitch in their crew and a "family business" going to the dogs, DOWN TERRACE is billed as a "pitch black comedy" about crime not paying. At all. Double feature with FOUR LIONS, anybody?

DOWN TERRACE will open in New York City and Los Angeles on October 8, expanding throughout the month of October.
