While it’s been relatively slim pickings for actress Olga Kurylenko as of late (save for turns in a few films, the biggest of which being Neil Marshall’s CENTURION), 2011 appears to be a huge year for the talented actress.

Currently shooting Terrence Malick’s upcoming follow up to THE TREE OF LIFE, Variety is reporting that the bombshell has just nabbed a role in the upcoming thriller, THE EXPATRIATE. She will be playing a CIA agent, opposite Aaron Eckhart, in the Philipp Stolzl-directed thriller that follows a former agent looking to make a new life for himself with his 15-year-old daughter.

Liana Liberato rounds out the film’s cast at this moment, and while it may seem like a bit of an odd choice for the actress, it’s one that I deeply believe is right up her alley. She’s a much more talented actress than people seem to give her credit for, and really, there has to be a reason someone like Terrence Malick deemed it worthy to cast her in his new film. Hopefully this film can live up to the relatively high potential that it really has.
