Now if I could just see this film, my life would be complete.

According to Showbiz411, Oscar Isaac, last seen this year’s underwhelming Ridley Scott film, ROBIN HOOD, will be joining Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston and Albert Brooks in the upcoming Nicolas Winding Refn film, DRIVE.

Now, as you all may know, I’m a massive fan of Refn and his previous works, so instead of harping on how brilliant the Danish auteur truly is (sidenote: the guy is bloody brilliant), I think that this film’s cast may very well be one of the most interesting ones that I’ve seen come along in a while.  Isaac, while not great in ROBIN HOOD, was the right amount of menacing and over the top/campy, making him a really interesting name to watch in the future.  The rest of the cast, particularly Mulligan and Cranston, are fantastic, and with Brooks in the role of a mobster, this thing is shaping up to be one hell of a film.

Oh yeah, and it’s Nicolas Winding Refn, one of the best directors working today, so yeah, keep an eye on this one.
