Pam Grier joins RZA’s THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS
While it may not have the budget for a buzz-building Super Bowl TV spot, the upcoming martial arts, kung-fu epic THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS, directed by The Wu-Tang Clan’s The RZA, is one of the more interesting films currently in production.
Starring the likes of Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Cung Lee, wrestler Dave Bautista, and The RZA, legendary actress Pam Grier revealed on Twitter (via The Playlist) that she has just “returned from Shanghai film directed by RZA of Wu Tang.”
Now, the role in question has yet to be revealed, the film itself does sound really intriguing. A kung fu epic, the film also apparently features tinges of spaghetti Western films, with a good hip hop influence tossed in for good measure. Grier is always a blast to watch on screen, and with a really weird cast, this could be one hell of a project.
The film is being backed by Eli Roth, so it’s definitely one of the most interesting films currently in production.
