Sure, we may not even know about his next film, STOKER, but when it comes to director Park Chan-Wook, any news, any news at all, is great news.

The director is lining up his follow-up to the upcoming Wentworth Miller-penned thriller, his long discussed remake of the Costa-Gavras film LE COUPERET, entitled THE AX.

The film follows the story of a scientist who attempts to take out his adversaries once he loses his job. Casting and financing is slowly coming together, with the hope being to shoot THE AX right after STOKER wraps.

Personally, no one does a revenge thriller-type feature quite like Chan-Wook.  I’m a huge fan of nearly all of his films, and with the turnaround appearing to be so quick, we may be getting a pair of films from the auteur within a couple of months.  And for that, I must say thank you world.
