Patrick Wilson’s got Morning Glory
Patrick Wilson recently shined in his role as the Nite Owl, the geeky hero who wins the girl, in the dark film WATCHMEN. Now it looks like Wilson wants to run the other way from heaviness and try his acting chops at comedy. It has been announced that Wilson will be joining the already big-named cast of MORNING GLORY. This film was already set to star Harrison Ford, Diane Keaton, and Rachel McAdams, but now the cast rounds out with a young male. Wilson:
"plays the love interest of Rachel McAdams' ambitious TV producer. Charged with reviving the flagging fortunes of a morning show, McAdams attempts to coax two antagonistic anchors (Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton) and reverse the ratings slump."
This comedy is being helmed by JJ Abrams and his Bad Robot production company. MORNING GLORY is expected to release some time in 2010.
