Portlandia’s “Dream of the ’90′s” to continue for a third season

Yesterday IFC announced that Portlandia would be renewed for a third season. The sketch show is written by and stars the unlikely comedy duo of Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen and occasional Sleater-Kinney guitarist Carrie Brownstein. The third season is set to air in January, 2013.

(On a whole other note - the above image of that guy smoking a cigarette appears in the opening credits of Portlandia and I totally think he looks like Old Farmer George Clooney. Am I alone here?)

IFC also announced several new programs for both this year and next, including "animated coming-of-age series" Out There and "anti-game show," Bunk (imagine segments like, "Break[ing] the News to a 5-Year-Old"). Comedian and WTF podcaster Marc Maron's eponymously-titled Maron, centering on (wait for it) the man himself, was also announced.
