The poster for TYRANNOSAUR debuts.

Paddy Considine, best known for his performances in DEAD MAN’S SHOES and IN AMERICA, recently crossed over into feature-film directing with TYRANNOSAUR. The drama bowed at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year to rave notices and two awards, one of which was for Considine’s work behind the camera.

We now have a poster for the film that you can check out after the break, and it's quite breathtaking. There’s definitely something ominous about what we see, but it’s not the kind of threat that we might see in the average horror film. It feels not fantastical and distant but very real and immediate. It’s initially strange and quite puzzling, but upon considering the film’s story that focuses on a washed-up alcoholic befriending a worker at a Christian shop with some regrets of her own, it all makes perfect and painfully beautiful sense.

TYRANNOSAUR is currently slated for an October 14 release in the U.K., but there’s no word on a stateside release just yet. However, given its strong performance at Sundance, it might be a player at the Toronto International Film Festival later this year.
