Poster Round-Up: REAL STEEL, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS disappoint, while HARRY POTTER comes to end
A slew of new posters have been released lately, so let's play a little catch-up! 2011 is full of hotly anticipated flicks, and some of the biggest are getting the promotional push as summer fast approaches. There's a robotic arm that looks like a modern Rock-'em-Sock-'em Robot, a one-sheet for FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS that’s just a recycled mash-up of the character posters we've already seen, a close up on HARRY POTTER himself restating that yes, it all ends now after 8 movies, and lastly, a forlorn George Clooney in Hawaii in THE DESCENDANTS.
Check out the full poster images after the break.
Starring Hugh Jackman, Evangeline Lilly, and Anthony Mackie, REAL STEAL follows Jackman as he and his son enter the robotic boxing world. Set for an October 7 release, this poster does little to convey anything new about the movie. We get it, it's about fighting robots.
FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS
Not only have we seen this movie before (in case you've forgotten, it was called NO STRINGS ATTACHED and it was released back in January), and we've seen this poster before. The first posters released were character posters for Mila Kunis' Jamie and Justin Timberlake's Dylan, and for this poster all they did was mash them together. Boring.
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART TWO
The franchise over a decade in the making is finally coming to an end, and the marketing team wants to make sure you never forget that. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and everyone else are all back to wrap up the tale of the Boy Who Lived, opening July 15.
THE DESCENDANTS
Directed by Alexander Payne, this flick follows George Clooney as he tries to reconnect with his kids in Hawaii after his wife suffers a boating accident. This decidedly more serious fare is due out December 16.
Which poster is your favorite of the bunch?
