Rachel Weisz joins Fernando Meirelles’ 360
Earlier this summer we got wind of a rather interesting project coming down the line, from director Fernando Meirelles, but since then, the trail has gone dead.
Well, according to Deadline, the project, entitled 360, has finally found a lead.
The outlet is reporting that Rachel Weisz has joined the project, which is based on a screenplay penned by Peter Morgan. This will be the second time the director and actress have worked together, with the final result hopefully as good as their first outing, the fantastic THE CONSTANT GARDENER.
Based on the Arthur Schnitzler play, Reigen, which is best described as a series of short vignettes/scenes between couples, either prior to or after sex. The characters show up more than once, making this quite an interesting little project.
Last we heard, the film would be shooting sometime this year, which fits the time frame if this is indeed true. And hopefully it is. I really dig all three people currently involved with the project, and if Weisz is just one of the names that will be joining the film, we have a lot to look forward to when it comes to this thing.
