Rachel Weisz to visit Jim Sheridan’s DREAM HOUSE
Coming off the rather solid brother/Iraq War drama BROTHERS, Jim Sheridan is wasting no time in getting his next project in the can.
The film, a psychological thriller called DREAM HOUSE, is already shooting in Toronto (with the hopes of hitting theaters sometime in early 2011), and stars Naomi Watts and Daniel Craig. And now, according to Variety, the cast has been rounded out by none other than Rachel Weisz.
Newcomer David Loucka wrote the film, with probable polishing done by Sheridan, a three time Oscar nominated writer himself. It follows a publisher who relocates his family to New England, only to discover that their house was the setting for a collection of brutal murders.
The premise sounds interesting, and throw in the fact that I thought BROTHERS was one of the more underrated films of last year (even with what could be the year’s worst trailer) and you have a film I was already looking forward to. Now with Rachel Weisz in the cast, you have two of the best actresses working today, along with a leading man Craig, who also has some rather solid acting chops. It’s a dream cast for DREAM HOUSE and it's a film that I can't wait to visit.
