Stereotypical clumsy Asian guy doing karate! Jello wrestling! Jerky Boys prank calls! A gay prison scene! Sophie Monk! A joke involving rapper Ludacris and BACK TO THE FUTURE! One of the best things about being friends with Brian Kelley is learning about the most random of films. Ever. I swear, this man lives for awesome and awful obscurity. This brings me to the subject of this article, which I saw on his Facebook - SPRING BREAK '83, a goofball slapstick comedy about, yep, you guessed it, spring break in 1983.

SPRING BREAK '83 follows four high school dorks who seek revenge on their bullies while on spring break - twisted comedy ensues. The film has a wide range of actors and talent, bringing in icons from past genres and generations, CHiPS alumni Erik Estrada, Morgan Fairchild, Joe Piscopo, Lee Majors, and the very awesome criminal brothers you will immediately remember from THE GOONIES, Robert Davi and Joey Pants. John Goodman also has a role in the film, which tells us it's his party and he'll star in whatever he wants to. I don't want to tell you that Jamie Kennedy has a part in it because I'm afraid you'll leave this article now and not give the trailer a chance, but Jamie Kennedy has a part in it. (Give the trailer a chance, trust me).

This looks promisingly awful but I'm hoping in a so-bad-it's-good kind of way. There's something about trash cinema that will always have a place in my heart. Check out the trailer after the break! I have no idea when this will be released, but I'm certain it's going to be straight-to-DVD.

There was actually an American Idol style talent search/Reality Show tied into the making of this film. The three Judges were Morgan Faichild, Joe Piscopoe, and Adrian Zmed. Aspiring actors got to audition for a part in the movie. I always wondered if this actually got made.
