Really, really, ridiculously good-looking news: ZOOLANDER 2 coming soon

With the cult-like dedication to the first ZOOLANDER, it seems the sequel is getting a push to get into production. Back in November, Viacom announced that the film is a top priority and that it would begin shooting "sooner rather than later."

There hasn't been much news since then, but Cinema Blend caught up with Owen Wilson at the premiere of LITTLE FOCKERS and got some more information from him. See what he had to say after the break.

At the premiere, not only did he talk about ZOOLANDER 2 to those in attendance, he did it without any prompting or questioning. When Cinema Blend asked what it’s like working with Ben Stiller on so many films, he revealed, “I just saw him now and we’re talking about doing another ZOOLANDER movie.” He then followed up with news on when production could happen. Wilson said, “I think there’s a really good script and I think we’re going to do it.” While he didn't reveal any plot details on the upcoming film, he did say there’s “no more Derelicte, but I think that people will be happy with some of this new stuff we have.”

As for the cast, no one specifically was named or mentioned other than Wilson and Stiller, but he did hint that the main cast could come back for the sequel.

When ZOOLANDER 2 gets underway, it will be the ninth film the comedy duo has been in together. I, for one, cannot wait to see them back in action as the dim-witted but well-meaning male models!
