SUPER 8 may be the biggest alien blockbuster you’ll find this year, but it looks like ATTACK THE BLOCK may be the most beloved. With everyone and their mothers singing the film’s praises after seeing it, it’s hard to think of a more buzzed-about film in quite some time.

Now, we have a new red band trailer for the film (via First Showing), and while it may be a bit tough to truly fall for the film’s insane hype, this trailer does its best to make you do so. The film stars newcomers like John Boyega and Alex Esmail and others like Nick Frost, and follows a group of teens who try to save their block from an impending alien invasion. Helmed by Joe Cornish, the film has garnered hugely strong praises after playing SXSW, and features an impossibly amazing score from Basement Jaxx. All in all, this sounds like one hell of a flick.

Check out the red band trailer after the break.

The film was recently nabbed up by Screen Gems and set for a July 29 release, so expect to hear a lot more about this film in the coming weeks. It will also be showing at this year's LAFF, with a special gala screening next Wednesday.
