Red band trailer for Jason Statham’s action film, BLITZ
Here is the red band trailer for BLITZ, directed by Elliot Lester (LOVE IS THE DRUG) starring Jason Statham. As usual, he kicks ass as a tough cop who sets out "on a journey to take down a serial killer whose targeting police officers." The film was written by Nathan Parker (MOON) and co-stars Paddy Considine and Aidan Gillen.
Check out the trailer and its official synopsis after the break.
Official synopsis:
"The south-east London police squad are suffering collective burnout: with tragic deaths, excessive habits, uncontrollable anger and the wrong kind of friendships, the team never had it so bad. When a serial killer takes his show on the road, things get progressively worse. Nicknamed ‘The Blitz,’ a vicious murderer is aiming for tabloid glory by killing cops. Harold Dunphy, Ace crime reporter, thinks he’s on to the story of the decade, and the police have all the incentive they need to catch their criminal – before they get caught first!"
BLITZ hits UK theaters on May 6. Unfortunately, there is not a U.S. release date yet, but it's expected to arrive stateside later this year. I am a huge fan of Statham, but his recent films have not been that great.
