The PREDATOR franchise is a beloved one, that many people have been eagerly awaiting it's continuation (AVP and its sequel doesn't count). One of those people was iconic director Robert Rodriguez who some 15 years ago, wrote a script for a sequel and sent it to 20th Century Fox.  Well years later, someone at Fox dusted off the old script and came knocking on the door of Rodriguez.  Determined to get the PREDATORS film to the public but with other commitments, Rodriguez tapped relative unknown Nimród Antal (VACANCY, ARMORED) to direct the project.  With a fresh script and Robert Rodriguez in the producer role, the film was shot on location in and around Austin and at Austin-based Troublemaker Studios.

Excitement was in the air on July 7 at the World Premiere of PREDATORS at Austin's historic Paramount Theater.  The event presented by the Austin Film Society, Troublemaker Studios & AMD was a great moment for the Austin film community.  Known mainly for independent film, Austin has just launched itself into the summer blockbuster game in a big way. We were on hand to talk to the film’s star Adrien Brody, director Nimród Antal, co-writer Alex Litvak, and producer Robert Rodriguez.

Check out our interviews with the cast and crew from the red carpet after the break!

Special thanks to Sarah from Lost in Reviews.  That is her asking Adrien Brody the question!  Check out her coverage of the PREDATORS World Premiere here!  Great stuff!!
