In the interest of Friday clean-up, I present to you a number of newly announced and confirmed release dates for a real mixed bag of films. We've got something for everybody here: an Amanda Seyfried-starring thriller, the live GLEE film, the next Wes Anderson, and one of my most anticipated films of 2011 - MELANCHOLIA.

After the break, read up on all the films with shiny new release dates, and get your calendars ready.

GLEE LIVE! 3D! – The concert film! from the television show! will be! in theaters! on August 12, 2011!

SAFE – Boaz Yakin’s Jason Statham-starrer sees the action star as an elite agent with two missions, one involving a rescue and one involving a safe combination, will open on October 28, 2011 (my birthday, ahem).

The film "centers on a young woman (Seyfried) who returns home from her night shift to find her sister's bed empty. She is convinced that the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job but when the police do not believe her and with no one to turn to, the woman sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all."

COLD LIGHT OF DAY – Another Summit thriller that stars Henry Cavill and Bruce Willis has an opening of April 6, 2012. The film "follows on a man (Cavill) whose family is kidnapped while on vacation in Spain.  In a race against time to rescue them, the ma uncovers some family secrets that form a mysterious connection to their disappearance, as well as a government conspiracy as maze-like as Madrid’s ancient streets."

MOVIE 43 – The omnibus comedy short film once just set for 2011, but will now open on April 13, 2012. It will feature segments directed by Elizabeth Banks, Peter Farrelly, James Gunn, Brett Ratner, and many more.

PARANORMAN – Focus Features’ recently announced stop-motion animated 3D feature will hit theaters on August 17, 2012.

PROJECT X – The Todd Phillips-produced film was once slated for November 23, 2011, but will now open sometime in 2012.

MOONRISE KINGDOM - Fooled you! The latest Wes Anderson ust has a TBD date at this point, but at least we know that Jason Schwartzman is in it, along with Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, and Owen Wilson.
